Evelyn

Evelyn is a classical pianist who enjoys working with students of all levels and ages. She has placed at numerous piano competitions, and has performed throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe.

 

Evelyn is currently pursuing a doctorate in Piano Performance at the University of Southern California on full scholarship and stipend. She is also minoring in music theory, collaborative piano, and choral conducting. She also serves as an instructor for various levels of group piano courses at USC, helping music majors and non-music majors. Evelyn previously studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Eastman School of Music.

 

She teaches all different genres, ranging from classical, pop, jazz, gospel, and more.In addition to piano, Evelyn enjoys teaching music theory and aural musicianship. She has guided many students through ABRSM exams. Evelyn is also member of MTAC (for the Certificate of Merit program) and MTNA.

 

Evelyn believes that anyone can play the piano, but to play it well requires proper guidance in both fundamentals and artistry. She makes piano playing easy and fun, but also challenging and ultimately, very rewarding.
